PRS+ wouldn't make your reader faster, as it is solely a extension/addon to the standard functions.

If a simple full shutdown and restart will not solve your problem,
you seem to have got a corrupted file-system.

Backup your books and
  1. run CHKDSK on IM
  2. format IM
  3. do a hard-reset (which will format IM too)
