Most English people have tea with milk. Whole milk or skimmed milk, but not condensed milk.

A cup of tea (with biscuits and/or cakes and/or small sandwiches) is sometimes still taken in the late afternoon. In our house it was usually at more like 4pm or 4:30pm, after the children have got home from school.

What kind of tea? Most tea served in England is one of a variety of commercially blended black teas, almost always now in tea bags.
