I've read every Brookmyre book, and agree they are great. But be advised, if you are looking for Reacher style writing, these are nothing like the same style. Also, if you like Brookmyre, you may want to try Colin Bateman, who is his Irish equivalent.

I was near apoplexic when I hear this. One of the fundamental aspects of Reacher's character and persona is his size. He often doesn't have to say anything, as his appearance says is for him. Cruise will never be able to carry it off. Ridiculous casting.

I don't know who I'd choose - possibly an unknown, but one person that springs to mind, as he can play the hard man very well (remember "300"?) is Gerard Butler.
