We KNOW there will be flooding... so get out of the area.

We have been warned far enough in advance to board up the windows, move outside furniture to a safer place, to stock up on life-support items such as food, water, batteries, toilet paper, and Oreo cookies.

We do NOT need to frighten the little children with monsters in the dark.

Stitchy, I need to chip in here. When the storm was making a beeline for S. Fl, I needed all of the info that I could get. No doubt, there are other hurricane novices out there in fear and needing info. Frankly, they couldn't repeat the story often enough for my own comfort. So please be patient with us.
