I'd say this is right on the money. Guys just love gadgets, and have no problem throwing money away on new technology if it gives them something new to play with.
Women are usually a bit more practical about these things, and will wait until things settle down a bit.
I only just got an ereader a little over a year and a half ago, since the technology for readers was firmly established and had proven itself stable and reliable.
I do want a tablet and will get one at some point. But I refuse to be these companies guinea pig and test their products for them and pay an exorbitant amount of money to do so to boot.
When they have built a 7-8 inch tablet that I don't have to root, or do any other BS with it, that is stable, runs honeycomb, has all the applications that I will find useful on it then I will buy one at a REASONABLE price.
Until then I'm sitting on the sidelines and watching all the developments.
