Amazon's changed the message on the Kindle main page to "expected in stock April 24" which is kinda cute, because, while it's expected back in stock, it's still presently out of stock. I think potential purchasers are more reassured by Amazon posting an expected date. If Amazon misses that date, it's a different story, of course, and then they'd have been better off with the generic "expected back in stock soon" message.
Since PVI hasn't announced the opening of a new plant quite yet, and they were adamant that they weren't having production problems (of course, the Fortune 50 company I worked for was fond of stating the same thing when they were lying through their collective marketing teeth), does this mean that AMazon has resolved a CM problem?
EDIT: and, to update, it now says:
"Availability: In Stock. Ships from and sold by Amazon.com. Gift-wrap available.
Want it delivered Monday, April 21? Order it in the next 19 hours and 33 minutes, and choose One-Day Shipping at checkout. See details "
