Hello.
I've had my PRS-350 for about six months now. Recently I felt that the screen contrast wasn't as good as when I bought it, but put it down to my imagination, or the gloomy weather we've been having lately.
However my I bought my wife her own PRS-350 the other day, and with a side-by-side comparison there's no doubt that the white (well, grey) isn't as bright as it once was, and the black not as black. I suspect that somehow some of the eInk particles have lost their charge and are getting a bit mixed up.
I started the repair request via the Sony site, but they say they need the receipt which I can't find anywhere.
Has anyone else noticed a reduction in contrast? Is this a known problem with eInk screen? If it is then I feel I'm in a stronger position to attempt to get a repair without the receipt.
