I agree. I especially like Steinbeck.
The Pearl was great but I till prefered
Of Mice and Men. Hemingway's
The Old Man and the Sea is another favorite. Nancy Kress's
Beggars in Spain is also one of my favorites (although the expanded novel version is also really good).
