Kindle ranked 52 of the 101 gadgets that changed the world.
Last night I was watching the History Channel who did a special on the top 101 gadgets that changed the World. (The list was compiled by Popular Mechanics--PM)

Funny thing is the TV only mentions the Kindle and shows the Kindle3. The PM article is more accurate on the first eReader, but still gives credit to the Kindle creating the industry.

At number 52 sat the Kindle. (Link)
