There is a lot that will happen in that time frame. Quad cores are slated to be released. You might find a few of the quality models drop to make room for these new devices. Just like the iPad dropped in price when the iPad2 came out.

Amazon is rumored to release their tablet. They will have an economical model and high end model. My fear is that they will be heavily tied to Amazon much like the nook. And for me that loses it's value. Im hoping I'm wrong and Amazon does release a full android tablet for cheap with Amazon integration and google integration as well.

If there is no need for one now wait maybe you can pick up a used model for cheap once the quad cores come out.
