X - I use the free email exclusively (since I have a wifi-only Kindle), and it is completely automatic. The Kindle syncs and downloads the files whenever the Wifi is turned on.
Thanks for the info on Dropsync - although it's additional software, at least one other device has something which can be made automatic-ish. :-)
