Yes as far as I know, Amazon is the only company that does this. They also charge you .15 per transfer.
It's a nice feature that I never used. Personally I always perfected to download manually.
Right now in my nook I use dropbox to automatically synchronize my files. The nice thing about this method is that I have the same content on my nook and phone so i can read from any device not just my nook/ kindle
