Oh yeah, don't even start me on tags. Just yesterday I added some freebies from Smashwords into my TBR library. It's beyond me, why should one book be tagged with 'science fiction', 'fantasy', 'fiction', 'science fiction romance', 'fantasy romance', 'vampire', 'vampires', etc. Problem was, I couldn't refuse them either and was loathe to delete them all, so took some time for picking what to delete. Did no metadata search, just added book and info from SW (blurbs, some reviews, publishing date). After all, it's my cleanup library and can have exess information. When I've read the book I'll know better about tags and genres that are appropriate.
About searches - I'm mostly fondling the mouse clickety-click. Even simplest searches require searching through forum and manual. In the future, when my collection of saved searches has grown, then I'll be clicking there more.
