I have a lot more books and am unfortunately using an old single core laptop right now. The cover browser seems to go from one cover to the next immediately even on a very slow external drive. |
I too have more than 7000 book in my library and I agree with Helen, you must have something wrong with your system. Using the mouse wheel I can scroll through 300 covers per minute. If you use the integrated cover browser (see attached) then skipping straight to an author via the list view or genre via the search bar is fast and scrolling the covers once you're in the area is very quick.
