Is your internet connection stable otherwise? Can you download other files from code.google.com and sourceforge.net (the two official Calibre mirrors)?

Hi Manichean,
I just tried what you suggested, turned off the Symantec protection etc. and tried the download. It stopped after about 40%.
I was sort of hoping your suggestion would work. (I did reset the protection after, so don't worry about that.)
