They said it themselves. That they are not typical. They don't like gay clubs and whatever culture is promoted there.
There was another gay couple who befriended our friends. Even I could say that they are gays. One of them had a typical Lady role. His voice could probably win a price on a male high voice competition
I always thought that gays were just like other men and the image that has been broadcast by gay celebrities was overplayed. Apparently there are both type of gays. I am just blind to see them, because by default I assume they are all the same. Just before we moved house our neighbours on one side told us that a pair of girls, our neighbours on the other side are lesbians. I failed to notice anything unusual for longer than one year! After I have been told, I put 2 and 2 together. One of them dressed a bit oddly, more like a man. I attributed it to her fashion preferences
