I'm guessing (just guessing, mind you) that 1.7 fixes the problems that people were having with 1.6.x on some Windows laptops. But there usually is a feature upgrade of
some kind when that second number changes. I'm in no hurry to upgrade and find out though. Somebody will come along soon and tell us.
