A Strange Thing ...

Popped into Waterstones today, and noticed something very strange........

The once very large glass display cabinets for readers and accessories is now taken up posters for book-signings and new novels, which I'm not surprised by - we knew they were closing it down.

But on top they have one Cybook(? ) on a stand, touch screen, 6" but doent work ; one Opus/Colour Bookeen , smaller, works, but not totally; and then, strangely, a big sign for "our new reader, the future, blah blah," and a picture of an iRiver - but no physical model on show. And none available instore.

The staff sadly shrug, they are not in the loop, it seems.

Odd, and very amateurish for Waterstones..........
