Well currently, the software for the current 6" screen based eink readers is not good enough for text books. They software would have to be completely redesigned. Most text books in electronic format are PDF and as we know, PDF on a 6" screen is not all that wonderful. Maybe the 9.7" screens will be ok for a letter sized PDF as long as there is a zoom to zoom in past the margin.
