Not for me. I leave mine off too but sometimes I forget to turn it off after doing a synch update.
I know some do want to leave it on for other reasons so they should know 3G model with WiFi drains faster then the WiFi only model.
I use to get close to a month but I am reading a book and half a day now on the K3 and might get two weeks but we are talking heavy reading here. If I read for only a few hours a day I do get close to a month.
