That is the way all dialogs work in calibre. All tabs are "applied" when you click OK. For example: The conversion dialog, the edit metadata single dialog, the create catalog dialog. Generally speaking, that is the way dialogs in most software applications work. When the OK/Cancel controls are below the tabs (not in an individual tab) they apply to all tabs.
