Tablets are not, to my knowledge, impulse buys. Any external resemblance of the Galaxy Tab to the iPad is like the external resemblance between my Dell Laptop and my husband's HP laptop. The importance is on the inside, and tablet buyers do their research beforehand. If the idea behind a "form factor" patent is that consumers may be confused into buying a Tab when they MEAN to buy an iPad, then this whole thing is silly.

If the idea is instead that Apple owns the "tablet look" (despite not doing it first, but whatever), then we should paint all the Galaxy Tabs white and get on with life. Does a device have to be a triangle now before it doesn't "cross the line" and "copy" the iPad????
