Hi, my name's Alex Mitrani and I've just arrived. I got a SONY PRS-650 about a month and a half ago, planning to use it mainly to support learning Portuguese by acquiring things to read over the internet. I live in Santiago, Chile and here everything is in English and bookshops don't really have anything in Portuguese. I quickly became disillusioned with the Sony Reader software and discovered Calibre, which I am already a big fan of. I have been off work for 2 weeks with pneumonia (back to work on Monday!) and have been using Calibre to get news of the world (not The News of the World) to read in bed. I am feeling better now and have been easing my way back into using the desktop computer by updating existing recipes and writing some of my own recipes for Chilean and Brazillian news sources, some of which I hope to be able to share in the near future. Well, nice to meet you folks and look forward to being able to help each other out in future.
