I prefer audiobooks over ebooks. My device of choice for audiobooks is my Sansa Clip+ (which I always have with me). Sometimes I use headphones and other times I hook it up to a cheap set of powered speakers.
Number two on the list is my iPod touch. That stays home pretty much all the time. Except for traveling (net access), I have no need to take it out of the house. The vast majority of the time, it sits in a speaker dock.
Then comes my Kindle. What I like most about it is the audio player and speakers. I can play a nice classical mix while reading. When I get tired of reading, I'll fire up an audiobook. I've never used headphones with it. Granted, the speakers aren't all that loud, they're still loud enough for my needs. Like my iPod, my Kindle stays at home.
