10 mins later: Just checked the table of contents at Amazon. Is this a variation on the theme of storyboarding? I used that once for an adaptation of a book for a film manuscript. Wrote down all scenes each on a separate index card, then selected the ones I wanted for the manuscript, and had a lot of fun rearranging them to make an interesting story.
