PDFs - Calibre - Kindle DX

Hi,
My name is Edmo. I'm a newbie in Mobileread and owner of a Kindle DX.
Unfortunately, I have to deal with a number of PDF files in its original format.
To tranfer the PDF files to the device, I use Calibre 8.14, which I think is a fantastic software to handle E-books. But it seems to have very basic limitations.
When conducting these transfers, Calibre converts the name of the PDF files to non-character text, so that the file "Iniciação à Hermenêutica.pdf" ends up as "Iniciacao a Hermeneutica.pdf". Kindle DX converts the file name as the title of the book in its library.
That's a frustrating! I always have to acess Kindle's directory and replace the non-characters text on the file name. Kindle updates its library and only then I have the correct title of the book. It's a tiresome task to apply this to every PDF file I have to transfer.
I searched a solution for this issue everywhere. I hope somebody would give a hint.
Edmo
