How much are you willing to spend? Exactly how heavy and thick of a tablet are you willing to buy? Which OS do you want?

If you want a cheap android tablet that is 7", you might try rooting the Nook Color, which IIRC is selling refurb (if you can get it) for around $200. It won't be as powerful as the ~$500 tablets most of the well known brands are selling, though.
