Definitely true here in the SF Bay Area, at least, even after 5 years. Oddly enough in my case, almost every friend and family member 1) complains about the service/call quality and 2) has an iPhone

I don't make a lot of calls, but not sure why anyone who depended on voice calls could have stuck with AT&T/iPhone for all this time. I've heard Verizon's version works much better here, but I don't know anyone who has switched.
