you can look in the "flea market" forum here, sometimes people are selling their used readers.

Also, there is a new e-ink reader which will soon be on the market from Astak, you can see some early information in this thread (a person from the company comes to the forum to give us information and answer questions). it will be e-ink, available in 3 different sizes, and for much cheaper than the sony or the Gen3 (and it will be sold in Europe, but we don't know yet how much the european price will be).

also, if you want an eb1150 (i have one, and although i regret it is not e-ink and will someday --hopefully soon-- buy an e-ink one, i really love it, because even though it is much older than the 500/505 or Gen3 i think the ergonomy is much better), there is a person who will sell you one on ebay. with the exchange rate it comes out very cheap (i got mine for about 100$ euros, including shipping, on sale for christmas). the only problem is, there is no warranty if you buy it from europe, however i think if it arrived defective she would find a solution to replace it, and i have not had a problem with mine. i can probably find her ebay pseudo if you are interested.

[EDIT : oh, and, the ebay seller i mentioned for eb1150 sells with "buy it now" so you can't lose the auction for 2$ !! (infuriating !!)]
