It happened to me, and I had purposely NOT connected it to a computer at all over the last week. Just been reading books / newspaper loaded via the WIFI directly from the kobo store.
I guess it's time to do what the others have done and buy a SDcard since the internal memory is 100% useless. Come on kobo, fix this or start to issue refunds, the advertised internal memory is nothing but a mess and VERY frustrating when you keep loosing books!
