1. to restore, boot your nook using your noogie.img microsd, then use
dd if=name_of_backup.img of=/dev/device_name_of_nooks_mem bs=1M

3. after rooting, i use the 'normal' reader on the Nook - it works seamlessly and Calibre is a fabulous multi-platform app for host-managing my book collection

2. I saw their cloud feature - although I don't think it supports uploaded content (unless I missed something...).
3. By "Normal" reader, you mean the un-rooted nook interface? I don't know why I didn't consider it would still be around...IT's just an apk, right? I wonder if it is lying around anywhere (so I could install it on my phone..)
