Karma does not equate with "This person is wise and all knowing" but that "This person has helped people in some manner."

It should come as no surprise that people have different definitions of "Meaningful contribution." If I am having a bad day and beppe makes a joke in the What are you drinking thread that makes me smile, he gets karma. I also give Karma for posting books in the free book threads because I appreciate the work those folks do. I give Karma for posts that respond to something flame worthy in a calm manner and help put out a flame war.
