I had my shih-tzu Angel for 14 years. During her last year before she died we could swear she was decaying from the inside because she smelled so awful. I was bathing her twice a week. Turned out she had colon cancer and we had to put her down. Every now and then I get a whiff of her in the apartment even though she's been gone for over 2 years, smells like roses now.
