I've just had the most lovely time browsing through everyone's photos. So many adorable pets! Allow me to share mine. All are rescues.

My oldest is Scout, a seven year-old Cocker Spaniel who was abused as a puppy. She still has some holdover behaviors like growling when you pet her -- even if she likes the petting. But she never bites or lashes out, and once she learns to trust you she is a loving pup. She has gorgeous long lashes and deep eyes. Poor girl has seen a lot in her time.

I have another Cocker Spaniel named Tucker, who was rescued from a kill shelter the day he was scheduled to be put down. He is only one year old. No one was sure why he was dumped there by his owner, but he is the sweetest, most gentle pup I've ever seen. He even lets our family's smallest dog, Bean (below) win when they wrestle, because he doesn't want to hurt her.

Last but certainly not least, there is the Princess of the Universe, Her Most Venerable Pinto Bean, or just Bean for short. She is a two year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who was born with extra toes and a herniated belly button. She had to have surgery as a pup to ensure she could walk correctly. She now skitters around freely, as you can see in this picture! She is the spoiled baby of the household, and Tucker's best friend. She sleeps on her back, legs splayed to the four points of the compass, without a care in the world. I wish I was that carefree!

Hope you like the babies.
