I already read a lot before but started to read less when space constraint became an issue. Aside from book cases, I have books in boxes in the closet, underneath the bed, underneath the sofa, etc. The only room we don't have books is the bathroom (for obvious reasons). Naturally, that has made me more selective about dt book buying. I do still borrow books from the library but driving to and from and finding parking isn't particularly convenient so it's not something I do every day or so.
With ebooks, I have virtually unlimited storage space and buying books is as easy as clicking a mouse button. No need to drive to and from the bookstore or wait for a shipment to arrive. While there can be long waiting lists for library ebooks, it just takes a few minutes from when I receive an email telling me an ebook is available that I have it checked out. Another nice thing, I used to always carry a book in my purse. With ereaders and other mobile devices, I can carry a whole library of books in a miniscule package. This convenience has greatly increased my reading as I can start on a new book immediately after I finish reading the first one instead of having to wait until I get home for new reading material.
