I'm no expert so I may be off base, but I don't think you can tell by looking at a title if it is H1, H2 or H3. Heading tags do not control font sizes the CSS controls the font size, including heading sizes. Guessing what heading is being used by looking at it is meaningless. If you want to know what headings are being used unpack the book and look at them.
