Gary I already have an EE that I'm returning because of a hibernating issue (although that's common, but thats what I'm going with.) and a much nicer price.. 149 vs 265..
So if you just want to hear what I think of the EE in General over my PE, I can give you my thoughts.
The PE was a great way to let me see what the full size EE could do. For reading and horsing around I like the size of the PE but I didn't like its size when I used it for notes, studying, saving webpages I could make notes on etc.. Also the PE (Atleast mine does) has major lag on the eink side when writing, I also couldn't right out in the margins.. I haven't had any of these issues on the EE.
Surfing has been easier, but the main thing is the size of the eink display and the LCD for annotating PDF's (on LCD side) and Epubs on the eink side. The biggest trade off is size. I only use the EE when I'm up, I don't take it to bed to work, but I did the PE.
I would keep the PE for the size but when I copied files I had annotated from the PE to the EE, the EE kept whatever the PE's screen resolution was or the file. So suddenly my text was much bigger. In the end, I can't justify keeping it if I'm not going to swap files between them and because of the resolution issue I found on the eink side, I won't.
The EE just has a much nicer work space. I don't feel cramped when I work on it.
Hope that helps!
