As a person with no mobile device (outside of an iTouch), I have no other devices using one of these connectors. I've got lots of USB cables for portable harddrives and cameras and at least four different device ends with one standard computer end. It's annoying having to carry around three different cables for transferring photos, charging my iTouch and charging my Kindle. Annoying. Annoying. Annoying.

2007 is also ancient from a technology standpoint. It'll be half a decade old. You know what else is half a decade old: Internet Explorer 7.
