If you're talking about the fabric latitude cover, all I can say is don't use water. I spot cleaned my nook cover with just enough water to moisten the surface and the black bled into the red fabric. I think the jacket is made of fabric covered black cardboard. Since I didn't successfully clean mine (I successfully ruined it) I can't offer any advice. But if I were to get a second chance I'd use a dry carpet spot cleaner.
