You might check with the local post office. They usually keep undeliverable packages for a while before returning them. In my neighborhood the USPS uses contractors and they are even lazier than the USPS workers, so it is not uncommon for them to simply not try to deliver packages as that requires them getting out of their delivery vehicle. Several times I've had to go to the local post office and raise cain until they found my package. Sad but true. If I've got a choice I use UPS for deliveries as they rarely screw up in my case.
