I've heard said that Science Fiction isn't quite as popular as it used to be... but mostly, that indie SF is still strongly looked down upon. I tried peppering my tags with SF shows and movies that were similar to my works, when it applied (like Star Trek and Firefly for the Kestral books). It didn't seem to have much effect, though, which may have been more of the indie effect at work.

So far I've fought off the urge to try to link myself with particular authors or specific books through tags... I'd consider that "inappropriate" advertising.

My numbers in Amazon tend to be in the low single digits in any given month. This, with 8 books in the store. The numbers on my site are higher, which is why I decided it wouldn't hurt anything to take them down from the Kindle store until I figure out what to do with them.
