And that worked for you? No .Trash or .500Trash folders created?
From the Kobo Touch not connected to a PC, I was selecting library, then to select the right of a novel's listing by Title, then Delete on the drop down NOT "Send to Trash"!!
For the fonts I did as you indicated and they still went to hidden Trash folder on the device.
