For are approaching it from a position of principle, I from one of practicality. It is about the ecosystem, as Amazon provides the best user experience. For someone to topple them won't take people complaining about it, but another company providing a better user experience. For all of the table about mobi vs ePub, for the vast majority of books sold it is an irrelevance, and doesn't affect the user experience.

They are all companies trying to make money. I think you are letting your emotions get the better of you if you think the same isn't true of B&N, Kobo, Sony, et all...
