I've been reading mine naked since the k3 came out. I have a slip case, but almost never remember to take it with me. If it's in my bag I put it in a pocket on it's own, otherwise it's jacket pocket, back trouser pocket or naked in my hand. It has one small scratch on the screen from the button on my work trousers, but other than that the only marks on the case are from when I opened it up to put the screws back in that had shaken loose.
Haven't broken it in the last 9 months, and TBH if I do break it, I'll just buy a new one and probably keep that naked anyways.
