Yet another hello
Hello,
I bought an ereader because I travel (long flights) now and then, and an ereader seems to be a better choice than loading myself with books that I throw away after reading them. Or worse, like enough to keep, thereby keeping the load all the way and back home.
I am a Linux person and actively dislike proprietary formats etc that lock you in, so Kobo (Touch) was a natural choice for me. However, trying to use a micro SD card to get books into the reader has failed so far - the reader just says something like 'processing contents' and stays like that until forcibly shut off. Oh well, I may find a way to manage it. Simple searches of these forums have not given me any clues so far.
Trying to 'read' a micro SD card does something to the reader - it becomes unresponsive and even changes its settings. Another mystery to investigate. I have time, I am retired after many years in the computer science field.
