It has a magnetic clasp. It doesn't snap shut, you get the two parts of the clasp near each other and they click together. The result is secure, and stays shut, but is still easy to open. It also avoids users hammering the clasp into place so hard they damage the screen behind it, which used to be an issue with Palm Pilot cases back in the day.
