Yeah, I wouldn't want to lead anyone to think my "cheapest way yet" is an actual permanent solution. Definitely gotta take into consideration the environment, and knocking around in a busy briefcase could be hazardous to a reader's health.

My wife made a quilted cover, so now my "solution" is a friction-reducing insert in the cover.
