What's the point of the Kindle's screensaver if it DIDN'T change for over 24 hours?

NO, I did not stare at my Kindle for 24 hours just to see if the screensaver changed.

I just left it on the desk with my webcam pointed at it. The webcam has a function that takes time-lapse video. (1 frame every second) I started it yesterday around noon. I just watched the video in fast-forward mode and the video and the Kindle'sscreen showed the exact same screensaver for more than 24 hours....

This can't be right.... how often should the screensaver change?
