The sleeve may be OK while you travel, but I dare you to take your K3 out of the sleeve and use it on the subway.

I have read of people reading in bed, falling asleep and finding the reader on the floor. Do you want to do that with a naked K3? You may say to yourself it's fine to go naked if I don't do this, that, or the other thing. But there is no way you can be 100% sure you won't do something that will cause your k3 to hit a hard surface.

a coverless eink reader is a really STUPID idea.
