Here's the outcome - I called CS, figured what can it hurt? Talked first to the lady who answered the phone, then she transferred me to a "specialist". He couldn't identify the problem, couldn't figure out why I was getting that message, so he gave me a $14 credit on my account and I bought the book with it. Love Kindle CS!
I also mentioned to him that B&N has this ebook for $9.99 and that I, along with a few other people I knew of, had reported it. He thought that was unusual that they had the ebook for $9.99 because those prices are set by the publisher.
Anyway...thanks again for your help here. Wanted to come back and report, because I always hate it when I help somebody and they never come back to say how it turned out
